Henry Ross DOLSTRA
1918 - 1988

In de Washington Post van 23 maart 1988 staat een overlijdensadvertentie voor een Henry Ross Dolstra. Deze is wel heel interessant: hij heeft namelijk voor de CIA gewerkt .

"HENRY ROSS DOLSTRA, Intelligence Officer, Henry Ross Dolstra, 69, a retired intelligence officer who had worked for the Central Intelligence Agency and for the Army and Air Force departments, died of cancer March 21 at his home in Bethesda.

Mr. Dolstra was born in Portland, Ore. He graduated from the University of California at Berkeley. He served in the Navy in Hawaii and London during World War II.

After the war he moved to the Washington area and he worked as a radio and television consulting engineer before joining the CIA in 1951. In 1953 he was assigned as an intelligence officer in West Germany, and he remained there until returning to the Washington area in 1957.

In 1959, Mr. Dolstra went back to West Germany, and he stayed there as an intelligence office for the Army and the Air Force until 1971, when he retired and returned to the Washington area. In retirement he traveled extensively and did amateur photography.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Dolstra of Bethesda; three daughters, Diana Dolstra of Portland, Valerie Newkirk of Bethesda and Heather Dolstra of Washington, and two granddaughters."
